I absolutely adore The Vibrant Table Cookbook (Tagline reads: always vegetarian, mostly vegan, sometimes raw). Additionally in my cookbook arsenal is The Sprouted Kitchen (whole foods, though not strictly veg.) & Smitten Kitchen (85/+ recipes are veg.) * ALL books tell lovely stories and have beautiful photos, which I think is critical in a cookbook, particularly one that will be a gift. A veteran vegetarian and cookbook author, Atlas has created more than festive, tasty, vegan holiday recipes organized into six chapters: Thanksgiving, Christmas and the Holiday Season, Jewish Holidays, Easter, Independence Day and Summer Entertaining, and Brunches, Appetizers, and Potluck Dishes.

strict vegetarian: Etymology: L, stringere + vegetare, to grow, arius, believer a vegetarian who consumes no animal products, including meat, fish, poultry, dairy.   ATTENTION: Nigel Slater has a new cookbook. Greenfeast: Spring, Summer, a joyous little book in bright pink and shimmering gold, delivers simple, plant-based, seasonal gh not strictly vegetarian, the book is centered on peak spring and summer produce; a second volume for fall and winter will be published in October.

Named a Best Cookbook for Spring by The New York Times and Bon Appetit A how-to cook book spanning 29 types of vegetables: Author Abra Berens-chef, farmer, Midwesterner-shares a collection of techniques that result in new flavors, textures, and ways to enjoy all the vegetables you want to eat. From confit to caramelized and everything in between-braised, blistered, roasted and raw-the /5(). While it’s not strictly a vegetarian or vegan cookbook, there are plenty of veggie-friendly dishes in there. Overall, the book focuses on slimming, homely recipes that appeal to the masses; whether you’re a pro in the kitchen, or just starting out. Keep your eye out for the duo’s new book Pinch of Nom: Everyday Light, released on 12th.

It is not strictly a vegetarian cookbook as there are many recipes with meat, chicken and fish. But the focus is vegetables and using them only when they are in season.
